What makes these files different

Most free SVG libraries collect drawings made for the screen. These are made for machines. Each design is built from geometry, then every overlapping part is welded into a single outline, so a blade or a laser follows one clean path and never cuts the same line twice.

  • Welded: no overlaps, no stray points, no hidden layers.
  • Smooth: curves are true Bézier curves with few nodes, not hundreds of tiny straight lines.
  • Measured: every design page gives the number of pieces, the length of cut and the narrowest part, at the size you plan to make it.
  • Exact: symmetry is computed, so a six-armed snowflake has six identical arms.

Which file to use

  • SVG for Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio Designer Edition, LightBurn, xTool Creative Space, Glowforge and Inkscape. Each is one welded shape with no strokes, no overlaps and no text, sized in millimetres.
  • DXF for the free Basic Edition of Silhouette Studio and for CAD software. Curves are stored as closed polylines.
  • PNG for printing, sublimation and anything that wants a picture: 2,000 pixels on the longer side, with a transparent background.
