Free soccer ball SVG files
Free soccer ball SVG files: the classic ball of black pentagons and white hexagons, an outline, a heart-shaped ball, a split ball for a name, a flaming ball, a goal, a pitch, a jersey and a cleat. The panels are worked out on a real sphere, so every seam sits where it does on a ball.

Black pentagons, white hexagons
The classic ball has twelve pentagons and twenty hexagons, and from the front you see six of the pentagons: one facing you and five round the edge. Here the pentagons are solid and the seams between the hexagons are lines 2.4 mm wide at the 100 mm size, all tied to a rim, so the whole ball is one piece. Cut it from black and put it on white, and the hexagons are whatever shows through.
For a dark shirt or a black tumbler use the reversed ball instead: it is a solid disc with the pentagons cut out, made to be cut from white. The outline has no filled panels at all and suits pens, foil and engraving. The seam lines are the thinnest part, so keep the classic ball at 50 mm or more in vinyl and at 100 mm or more in wood or acrylic.
Goal, pitch, jersey and cleat
The goal is drawn from the front and a little above, so the net shows on the back, the top and both sides. Its cords are about 1.8 mm wide at 100 mm across: cut it larger in card, or score and engrave it. The pitch has lines just as fine and makes a good coaster or tactics board when engraved. The jersey has three open stripes about 5.6 mm wide to back with a second colour, and the cleat is plain, with no maker’s mark.
How to open the files
- Cricut Design Space: choose Upload, pick the SVG, and add it to the canvas. Set the width you want; the shape is already welded.
- Silhouette Studio: Designer Edition and above open the SVG. The free Basic Edition does not, so open the DXF instead.
- LightBurn, xTool Creative Space and Glowforge: import the SVG, then set the layer to cut, score or engrave.
- Inkscape, Illustrator and Affinity: open the SVG. It is a plain filled path, so you can recolour it, add a stroke or combine it with your own work.
- Printing or sublimation: use the PNG, which has a transparent background.
Each design page lists the file’s narrowest part at seven sizes, so you can tell whether it will survive at the size you plan to cut.
Questions
How do I make a soccer ball in black and white?
Cut the classic soccer ball from black and a plain 100 mm circle from white, and lay the black on top. The pentagons, seams and rim are one piece, so they go down together and stay in place.
How do I add a name to the split soccer ball?
Type the name in your cutting software and set it in the band between the two halves, which is 20 mm tall when the ball is 100 mm across. Keep the halves and the name on one piece of transfer tape so the spacing holds.
Why do the pentagons at the edge look squashed?
Because the ball is round. The panels are worked out on a sphere and then drawn as you would see them, so the five pentagons near the edge are seen at a slant, just as they are on a real ball or in a photograph.
