Glyph, figure or stars

Every sign can be shown three ways. The glyph is the written symbol, drawn bold in one weight of line: the simplest form, and the one for earrings, charms and the corner of a card. The figure is the ram, the twins, the scales or the archer as a solid silhouette, which suits a shirt or a mug.

The constellation is the sign as stars joined by lines. For cutting, the night sky disc is the practical form: a disc 100 mm across with the stars cut out and the lines between them cut as dashes. Back it with gold card, or hang it in a window and let the light through.

A birthday present by sign

The badge design is round, with the glyph cut out of it over a blank band 100 mm wide and 20 mm tall. The band is left empty for the dates of the sign or for a name. The queen design is a woman’s head in profile wearing a crown, with the glyph cut from her hair, made for a birthday shirt with words of your own beside it.

The celestial card is an arch 66 mm wide and 100 mm tall with the glyph under a crescent moon and two stars. Cut from black card and backed with foil, it makes a gift tag or a bookmark.

All twelve on one sheet

The zodiac set has the whole year together. The wheel is a ring with the twelve glyphs cut out of it and a sun in the middle. The grid has the twelve glyphs as loose pieces, each about 20 mm across. The charms weld each glyph into its own ring, for earrings and keyrings once the sheet is enlarged, and one sheet sorts the signs by element: fire, earth, air and water.

Questions

What are the dates of each sign?

Each sign’s badge design lists them on its page. Aries, for example, runs from 21 March to 19 April and Leo from 23 July to 22 August.

Are the constellations accurate?

The sheet of twelve in the zodiac set is laid out from the catalogue positions of the stars. Each constellation is fitted to its own cell, so two signs are not to the same scale.

Where is Cancer?

Its set is called Cancer zodiac, with the crab and the glyph. Awareness ribbons are a different page.

Is the Chinese zodiac here?

No. These are the twelve signs of the western zodiac only.
