Where each verse is found

From the Psalms: I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made (139:14), God Is Within Her She Will Not Fall (46:5) and My Cup Runneth Over (23:5). From Proverbs: She Is Clothed With Strength and Dignity (31:25), which She Is Strong shortens, She Works With Her Hands in Delight (31:13), She Is More Precious Than Rubies (3:15) and Kind Words Are Like Honey (16:24).

From elsewhere in the Old Testament: As for Me and My House (Joshua 24:15), For This Child We Have Prayed (1 Samuel 1:27), I Have Found the One Whom My Soul Loves (Song of Solomon 3:4), Here I Am Lord Send Me (Isaiah 6:8), Unto Us a Child Is Born (Isaiah 9:6) and For I Know the Plans I Have for You (Jeremiah 29:11).

From the New Testament: Let Your Light Shine (Matthew 5:16), Thy Will Be Done and Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread (Matthew 6:10 and 6:11), Faith Can Move Mountains (after Matthew 17:20), He Is Risen (Matthew 28:6), I Can Do All Things (Philippians 4:13), Love Is Patient Love Is Kind, Love Never Fails and Faith Hope Love (1 Corinthians 13), Let All You Do Be Done in Love (1 Corinthians 16:14), Walk by Faith (2 Corinthians 5:7), Saved by Grace (Ephesians 2:8) and Hope Anchors the Soul (Hebrews 6:19).

Adding the reference

A verse on a sign usually carries its reference in small letters. Type it in a plain typeface about a quarter of the height of the lettering and set it under the last line, ranged to the right. On a Bible cover the words are about 110 mm wide; on a kitchen sign, 300 mm; on a water bottle, 60 mm, where the reference is best left off.

Check the wording against your translation

These files follow the wording people most often search for and cut, which is sometimes the King James Bible, sometimes a modern translation and sometimes a shortening of the two. Faith Can Move Mountains sums up its verse and does not quote it. Before making a gift for a church, compare the words with the translation that church reads from.

Questions

Which verses suit a wedding?

I Have Found the One Whom My Soul Loves, Love Is Patient Love Is Kind and Love Never Fails. The wedding page has frames to set them in.

Which suit a baby or a baptism?

For This Child We Have Prayed and I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. Unto Us a Child Is Born is the Christmas one.

Is the whole verse in the file?

Usually only its best known line. As for Me and My House, for instance, stops there; add “we will serve the Lord” in a typeface of your own, or leave it understood.

Where are the crosses and other church designs?

A few crosses are shown here. The Christian page has the rest, with doves, angels and single words of faith.
