Single blooms, sprigs and wreaths

Floral designs do three jobs. A single bloom is a motif for a card or a decal. A sprig or branch fills a corner or runs along an edge. A wreath frames a name. The sets here cover all three, and most blooms come as a solid shape, an outline and, for several, a layered version in colour.

Petals meet at thin points, so flowers are among the more delicate cut files. The table on each design’s page gives the narrowest part at seven sizes. For paper flowers that stand up, look for the rolled flower and paper layer templates in the flower and rose sets, which are cut flat and shaped by hand.

Questions

How do I make a rolled paper flower?

Cut the spiral template from card, roll it tightly from the outer end towards the centre, let it relax a little, and glue it to the round tab at the centre.

Are the flowers real species?

Many are: rose, sunflower, daisy, gerbera, lotus, tulip, plumeria, cosmos and dahlia are named on their pages. Others are generic five- and six-petal flowers.
