A plain oval leaf with a pointed tip. The midrib and five pairs of side veins are cut out as slits that stop short of the edge, so the leaf stays in one piece.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.49 × 1 in (12 × 25 mm) | 0.66 mm | 214 mm | 170 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 0.98 × 2 in (25 × 51 mm) | 1.3 mm | 427 mm | 50 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 1.48 × 3 in (37 × 76 mm) | 2 mm | 641 mm | 21 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 1.97 × 4 in (50 × 102 mm) | 2.6 mm | 854 mm | 10 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 2.95 × 6 in (75 × 152 mm) | 4 mm | 1,282 mm | 3 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 3.94 × 8 in (100 × 203 mm) | 5.3 mm | 1,709 mm | 2 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 5.9 × 12 in (150 × 305 mm) | 7.9 mm | 2,563 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
