Spelling a word from single letters

Every plain letter is drawn at the same scale, 100 mm from baseline to cap height, so letters from the same typeface line up when you place them side by side. Download the letters you need in one typeface, bring them into one project, align them along the bottom, and set the gaps by eye: round letters such as O sit a little closer than straight ones such as H.

For a banner, cut one letter per pennant. For a wall or a party sign, 150 to 250 mm tall letters in card or foam board read across a room. The block faces, Alfa Slab One and Lilita One, are the easiest to cut large.

Questions

Are there lower-case letters or numbers?

Not yet. The sets are capitals for now.

Can I get a whole word as one file?

For common greetings, yes: see the words and sayings on the main library page. For anything else, place single letters side by side.
