Cards cut from a single sheet

The anniversary card set is made of working cards. The one with two linked hearts is cut 210 mm wide and folds to A6, 105 by 148 mm, from half a sheet of A4. The pop up card has a cake of three stepped tiers with a heart on top that stands when the card is opened to a right angle; cut 280 mm wide, its inner sheet folds to 132 mm square.

To put words on the front of a plain card, Happy Anniversary sits at 110 mm wide. Anniversary is a long word, so in the block capitals Happy stands much taller above it.

A sign with the place and the years

Where It All Began is made to go with a map of the place a couple met. Take the state or country from the map files, add a heart at the town and set the words about 150 mm wide beneath, with the date under that. We Still Do is the vow renewal line: 350 mm on a sign, 50 mm on a glass.

Together Through It All runs 350 mm on a sign and 150 mm on a photo frame. Add the number of years in a heavy typeface the height of the lettering, to the left or above.

Gifts in pairs

His Queen Her King is cut twice, for two hoodies at 240 mm or two pillowcases at 300 mm. Better Together splits across a pair of mugs, one word on each. Two champagne flutes clinking are welded at the rim, so the toast is one piece and goes on a card or a coaster without lining anything up.

Questions

How do I add the number of years?

The lettering carries no number. Cut numerals from the calendar set, which runs from 1 to 31, or type a larger number in any heavy typeface.

What are the traditional gifts by year?

Paper for the first, wood for the fifth, tin for the tenth, silver for the twenty-fifth and gold for the fiftieth. A card cut for a first anniversary and a plywood sign for a fifth both keep the tradition.

Which designs suit a vow renewal?
