A name on a tag, a bowl or a treat jar

The dog bone set has the pieces for naming things. The bone tag has a loop on top for a split ring: cut it 35 to 45 mm wide from acrylic, leather or engraving metal and add a name and a phone number. The bone name frame is a thick band with an open middle. The bowl with a bone cut from its front is for feeding station signs and the lid of the food bin.

The split paw print is cut across the main pad and pulled apart, with a thin rule above and below the gap for a pet’s name.

Paw prints: five pieces or one

A real paw print is a pad and four toes that do not touch, and the dog and cat prints here are drawn that way: five separate pieces each. In vinyl that is no trouble with transfer tape. In wood, acrylic or leather the toes would fall away, so use the heart with a paw print cut out, where the paw is the hole and the heart is one piece.

The paw print trail is five small prints stepping up a slanted path, twenty-five pieces in all, to run along a wall or the edge of a car window.

Car windows, doormats and treat jars

Dog Mom goes on a car window at 120 to 150 mm wide in outdoor vinyl, Fur Mama at 130 mm in white, and Cat Lady on a mug at 75 mm. Welcome Hope You Like Dogs is a doormat line: stencil it about 430 mm wide. Peace Love Dogs fits a treat jar at 90 mm.

Is my dog’s breed here?

Seventeen breeds have a set of their own: bulldog, pit bull, corgi, pug, husky, dachshund, German shepherd, yorkie, golden retriever, beagle, Boston terrier, labrador, rottweiler, schnauzer, Great Dane, chihuahua and poodle.

Is there something for a pet that has died?

Yes. The bridge set has a rainbow bridge with paw prints, drawn for pet memorial cards and ornaments, and the memorial page has wings and candles.

What is there for cats?

The cat set has twenty designs, among them a sitting cat, a peeking cat, a sleeping cat and two cats with a heart of tails. The paw print set has a cat print, rounder than the dog’s and with no claw marks.

Can I turn a photo of my own pet into a file?

Not with these files, which are drawings. A photograph is a job for the Plotcaster editor, which traces it into lines or prepares it for engraving.
