Free dog groomer SVG files

Free dog groomer SVG files with no lettering to work around: a groomer at the table with scissors, a silhouette on a flat base, a dog on a grooming table, scissors and a comb, clippers, a dog in the bath, a fresh trim with a bow, a rosette, an apron, a van, a paw heart and two frames for a name.

16 designs. Free for personal and commercial use, no sign-up. What you can do with them.

Or choose one below for its PNG, DXF and cutting sizes.

Sizes, fine parts and what to cut them from

The groomer and the dog are built from heavy, rounded parts, so the scene holds together in vinyl, card and thin plywood. The finest parts are the legs of the table, about 3 mm wide when the design is 100 mm across, and the small scissors in the groomer’s hand, whose finger loops are rings about 2 mm thick. Cut the scene at 90 mm or more in iron-on, and use the silhouette, which has no lines inside it, for anything smaller.

The scissors and comb design has comb teeth about 2 to 3 mm wide at 100 mm: weed along the teeth from the spine outwards. The paw heart, the bone frame and the clippers are the sturdy ones for small stickers, tumblers and appointment cards.

Adding the name of a salon

Nothing here carries wording. The bone frame is open in the middle for a name, the monogram ring takes one to three initials, and the side panel of the van is solid apart from the paw print, so a business name set in your own cutting software can be laid over it.

How to open the files

  • Cricut Design Space: choose Upload, pick the SVG, and add it to the canvas. Set the width you want; the shape is already welded.
  • Silhouette Studio: Designer Edition and above open the SVG. The free Basic Edition does not, so open the DXF instead.
  • LightBurn, xTool Creative Space and Glowforge: import the SVG, then set the layer to cut, score or engrave.
  • Inkscape, Illustrator and Affinity: open the SVG. It is a plain filled path, so you can recolour it, add a stroke or combine it with your own work.
  • Printing or sublimation: use the PNG, which has a transparent background.

Each design page lists the file’s narrowest part at seven sizes, so you can tell whether it will survive at the size you plan to cut.

Questions

What breed is the dog in these designs?

None in particular. It is a small woolly dog with a top knot, a drop ear and a pom tail, the kind of coat that needs a groomer most. It reads as a poodle cross or a bichon, and it is plain enough to stand for any small dog on a sign.

Can I put my business name on the grooming van?

Yes. The van has no lettering or markings. The side panel is solid apart from the paw print and is about 50 mm long when the van is 100 mm wide. Type the name in your cutting software and lay it over the panel in a second colour, or make the van larger and subtract the name from it.

Which design works on the front of an apron or a smock?

The scissors and comb, the paw heart and the rosette all cut cleanly in iron-on at 70 to 90 mm and have no parts thin enough to lift in the wash. The groomer at the table has finer lines, so keep that one to 100 mm or more.
