The announcement

I Said Yes is the line for the photograph: 200 mm wide on a shirt, or 45 mm on the lid of the ring box itself. She Said Yes is the other side of the same news, and at 600 mm wide it heads a banner for the party. Future Mrs is followed by the new surname, and every version leaves space after or below the words for it.

For a sign to hold in photographs, We Decided on Forever at 400 mm wide, cut from card and mounted on a board, with the date underneath.

Drawing a ring that cuts

A ring is a thin circle with a small bright stone, which is hard on a blade. The engagement ring with a solitaire is drawn face on as one piece, with the stone held by two claws and its facets cut as fine slots. At card size, 50 to 60 mm, cut it in vinyl or foil; for anything smaller use the ring silhouette.

The ring in a box is sturdier: a solid base with a clasp, the lid as a frame behind it and the ring standing in the cushion. The ring set also has a cushion diamond, a three stone ring and a ring with a heart stone.

The first Christmas engaged

Two sayings are made for the tree. Our First Christmas Engaged is usually finished with the year underneath. Last Christmas as a Miss is 58 mm wide on an 80 mm ornament and 190 mm on pyjamas. On a glass or acrylic bauble use permanent vinyl and press from the centre outwards to follow the curve.

What goes on an engagement party banner?

She Said Yes at about 600 mm wide, with two champagne flutes clinking at one end and a ring at the other, each the height of the letters.

Can I show the date?

Yes. The calendar set has a tear-off calendar page with a heart and date numerals from 1 to 31 to place on it.
