How to add the name

Open the split letter in your cutting software and type the name in any typeface. Size it to sit inside the gap between the two rules, which is 16 mm tall when the letter is 100 mm tall, and scale the letter and the name together from there. A script name inside a serif letter is the classic pairing. Select everything and attach, so the name stays in place when it is cut.

Each split letter is two pieces, the top half and the bottom half, and each half is closed off by its rule, so the halves hold their shape. The name is a third piece or more. Use transfer tape to move all of it in one go.

Questions

How long a name fits?

The gap is a little wider than the letter. A short name fits at full height; for a long one, let it run past the letter on both sides, which is how most split monograms are made.

Can the gap be taller?

Not in these files. For two lines of text, scale the whole letter up so that the gap is as tall as you need.
