Southern sayings for jars, towels and the porch

Each saying has a home. Sweet Tea and Jesus is cut 60 mm wide for the side of a mason jar glass and about 410 mm for a porch sign. Cotton Pickin Blessed suits an autumn door hanger at 300 mm, with a cotton stem from the cotton set beside it. Bless Your Heart, a phrase that can be kind or not, goes on a tea towel at 180 mm.

Y’all Need Jesus is a car window favourite at 185 mm in white. Farm Fresh Eggs is a working sign: 450 mm wide for a roadside stall and 90 mm for the lid of an egg box.

Boots, hats and trucks on a shirt

The boot and hat sets each have a plain version and a dressed one. The cowgirl boot is slim with a scalloped top and a daisy and two hearts cut from the shaft; the cowgirl hat carries hearts. Cut either at 200 mm for an adult shirt. The word Cowgirl has a version in Rye, a typeface with the spurred letters of an old poster, at 240 mm for adults and 160 mm for a child.

The truck tailgate is a pickup seen square from behind with a big blank tailgate, which makes it a frame: add a name or a farm in your own lettering across the gate.

How does this differ from the western and farm pages?

The western page is cowboy country: cactus, cattle, scorpions and whiskey. The farm page is the animals. This one is rural life and its sayings.

Are there lyrics from country songs?

No. Lyrics belong to the people who wrote them. The guitar set has acoustic, electric and bass guitars for a music lover, with no maker’s marks.
