Glitter, foil and holographic vinyl

These designs are the ones most often cut from glitter and foil. Both are thicker and stiffer than plain vinyl: slow the cut, add pressure, and choose shapes with broad areas, since a thin line of glitter vinyl lifts at the first wash. The solid lips and the bold lettering versions are safe choices.

On a make-up bag or a canvas tote, press from the inside as well as the outside, because seams keep the plate from sitting flat.

Can I layer glitter over plain vinyl?

Yes, glitter on top. Do not press anything onto glitter: it has no smooth surface for the next layer to grip.
