Free wreath SVG files

Free wreath SVG files: leaf, laurel, holly, pine, floral and half wreaths, each drawn by code so the leaves are evenly spaced and the whole wreath welds into a single piece. Download any of them as SVG, PNG or DXF.

Using a wreath as a frame

A wreath is nearly always a frame for something else: a monogram, a name, a date or a house number. The round wreaths here leave a clear circle in the middle that is 45 mm or more across when the file is 100 mm, so choose your lettering to fit that, and scale the wreath and the lettering together.

The half wreath and the laurel are open at the top, which suits a word that is wider than it is tall. The crescent is one side only: mirror a copy in your cutting software to bracket a name.

Cutting thin stems

The stem is the thinnest part of every solid wreath: 2 to 2.5 mm at 100 mm. In vinyl that is no trouble down to about 60 mm across. For wood or acrylic, keep leaf wreaths at 100 mm or larger, or pick the Christmas wreath, whose ring is solid. Weed leafy wreaths from the centre outwards so the leaves are not pulled up with the waste.

How to open the files

  • Cricut Design Space: choose Upload, pick the SVG, and add it to the canvas. Set the width you want; the shape is already welded.
  • Silhouette Studio: Designer Edition and above open the SVG. The free Basic Edition does not, so open the DXF instead.
  • LightBurn, xTool Creative Space and Glowforge: import the SVG, then set the layer to cut, score or engrave.
  • Inkscape, Illustrator and Affinity: open the SVG. It is a plain filled path, so you can recolour it, add a stroke or combine it with your own work.
  • Printing or sublimation: use the PNG, which has a transparent background.

Each design page lists the file’s narrowest part at seven sizes, so you can tell whether it will survive at the size you plan to cut.

Questions

How do I put a monogram inside a wreath?

Open the wreath in your cutting software, add your letter or name on top, and size the text to fit the clear circle in the middle. Keep the two as separate colours, or leave a small gap between them, since nothing joins text to the wreath.

Which wreath works for a door sign cut from wood?

The Christmas wreath with a bow has a solid ring, and the star and holly wreaths have broad parts, so those three stand up best as a laser-cut wooden piece. Cut them at 150 mm or more and the stems will be over 3.5 mm wide.

Can I make a full wreath from the half wreath?

Yes. Copy the half wreath, flip the copy top to bottom, and move the two together until the tips overlap at the sides, then weld. You get a full wreath whose leaves meet at the two sides.
