Free tea SVG files
Free tea SVG files: a round teapot, a cup on a saucer, a tea bag with a heart tag, a tea towel, sweet tea in a jar, a kettle, a tea party stack, a pot pouring into a cup and a cup of boba. Seams and steam are joined to the pot or cup they belong to, so each design lifts in one piece.

Pots, cups and the lines inside them
A teapot is a simple outline, so most of its character comes from a few lines inside it: where the lid sits, a curve of shine on the belly, the join of the foot. In these files each of those lines is a slot about 2 mm wide that stops short of the edge, which means nothing drops out and the pot or cup lifts off the mat as a single piece. Put a second colour of vinyl or card behind the slots if you want them to show as colour.
Every file is 100 mm on its longer side. At that size the handles are about 5 mm thick and the wisps of steam about 3 mm, which is comfortable in vinyl, iron-on and card. The thinnest parts in the set are the string of the tea bag and the stems of the daisies, at a little over 2 mm, so cut those two at full size or larger and weed along the string, not across it.
What to make with them
The tea towel design works at two sizes: small, as a label for a linen shelf, or at 150 mm and more in iron-on as a motif pressed on to a plain cotton towel, about 80 mm up from the hem so it shows when the towel hangs folded. The sweet tea jar and the boba cup suit party cups and menu boards. The teapot and tea cup silhouette has a flat base and no inside cuts, so it stands in a shadow box or cuts cleanly from thin wood.
How to open the files
- Cricut Design Space: choose Upload, pick the SVG, and add it to the canvas. Set the width you want; the shape is already welded.
- Silhouette Studio: Designer Edition and above open the SVG. The free Basic Edition does not, so open the DXF instead.
- LightBurn, xTool Creative Space and Glowforge: import the SVG, then set the layer to cut, score or engrave.
- Inkscape, Illustrator and Affinity: open the SVG. It is a plain filled path, so you can recolour it, add a stroke or combine it with your own work.
- Printing or sublimation: use the PNG, which has a transparent background.
Each design page lists the file’s narrowest part at seven sizes, so you can tell whether it will survive at the size you plan to cut.
Questions
How do I press a design on to a tea towel?
Wash and iron the towel first, because new cotton and linen towels shrink and often carry a finish that stops iron-on from holding. Mirror the design, cut it from iron-on vinyl, and press it on the lower third of the towel so that it faces out when the towel is folded over a rail.
Which tea design is best for a small label or sticker?
The teapot and tea cup silhouette, the monogram teapot and the round teapot. None of them has parts thinner than 2 mm at 100 mm, so they still cut cleanly at 30 to 40 mm for tea tins, jar lids and planner stickers. Keep the tea bag and the pot of flowers for larger pieces.
Can I add a name to the teapot?
Yes. The teapot monogram frame has an open belly about 50 mm wide when the pot is 100 mm across, which is room for one large initial or a short name. Cut the lettering from a second colour, or let it touch the band on both sides and weld it so that pot and name are one piece.
