Ordered dithering

Blue noise dithering online

Ordered dithering against a 128×128 blue-noise mask instead of a Bayer tile. Dots come out evenly spread with no grid, no clumps and no worms.

Good for pen plotters, lasers and animation.

How it decides

One comparison per pixel, like Bayer, but the mask has no low-frequency structure. On a plotter it looks like careful hand stippling; on a laser it tolerates burn spread.

All algorithms

Every one is an option in the Dither style: dither an image online and export a 1-bit PNG for a laser or SVG dots for a plotter.
