Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.81 in (25 × 21 mm)	0.61 mm	250 mm	120	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 1.63 in (51 × 41 mm)	1.2 mm	500 mm	30	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 2.44 in (76 × 62 mm)	1.8 mm	750 mm	12	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 3.26 in (102 × 83 mm)	2.4 mm	1,000 mm	6	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 4.88 in (152 × 124 mm)	3.7 mm	1,500 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 6.51 in (203 × 165 mm)	4.9 mm	1,999 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 9.77 in (305 × 248 mm)	7.3 mm	2,999 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
