Elk and mountain scene SVG

Elk and mountain scene, as a solid black shape — Elk and mountain scene. The preview is the SVG file itself.

A bull elk standing on a strip of ground in front of a mountain range drawn as a line, with a pine at each side. The elk is solid and the peaks are open, so the animal stands out.

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.72 in (25 × 18 mm)	0.38 mm	251 mm	130	Too fine for most machines
2 × 1.44 in (51 × 37 mm)	0.76 mm	502 mm	35	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3 × 2.16 in (76 × 55 mm)	1.1 mm	753 mm	15	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 2.88 in (102 × 73 mm)	1.5 mm	1,004 mm	6	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 4.33 in (152 × 110 mm)	2.3 mm	1,506 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
8 × 5.77 in (203 × 147 mm)	3 mm	2,008 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 8.65 in (305 × 220 mm)	4.6 mm	3,011 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
