Pop up card template to print and cut by hand SVG
The one-step base as a drawing: solid lines where you cut, round the sheet and down the two sides of the step, and dashed lines on the spine and the three folds of the step. Print it 210 mm tall, cut the solid lines with a craft knife and score the dashed ones.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.71 × 1 in (18 × 25 mm) | 0.28 mm | 244 mm | 130 | Too fine for most machines |
| 1.41 × 2 in (36 × 51 mm) | 0.56 mm | 489 mm | 35 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 2.11 × 3 in (54 × 76 mm) | 0.84 mm | 733 mm | 15 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 2.82 × 4 in (72 × 102 mm) | 1.1 mm | 977 mm | 8 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 4.23 × 6 in (107 × 152 mm) | 1.7 mm | 1,466 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 5.64 × 8 in (143 × 203 mm) | 2.2 mm | 1,955 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 8.46 × 12 in (215 × 305 mm) | 3.4 mm | 2,932 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
