Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.88 in (25 × 22 mm)	0.76 mm	167 mm	110	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 1.75 in (51 × 45 mm)	1.5 mm	333 mm	30	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 2.63 in (76 × 67 mm)	2.3 mm	500 mm	12	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 3.5 in (102 × 89 mm)	3 mm	666 mm	6	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
6 × 5.26 in (152 × 134 mm)	4.6 mm	1,000 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 7.01 in (203 × 178 mm)	6.1 mm	1,333 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 10.51 in (305 × 267 mm)	9.1 mm	1,999 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
