How fine is it at your size?

Scaling a design scales its finest detail too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Smallest mark	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.6 in (25 × 15 mm)	0.36 mm	415 mm	150	Too fine for most machines
2 × 1.2 in (51 × 30 mm)	0.71 mm	830 mm	40	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3 × 1.8 in (76 × 46 mm)	1.1 mm	1,244 mm	18	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 2.4 in (102 × 61 mm)	1.4 mm	1,659 mm	8	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 3.6 in (152 × 91 mm)	2.1 mm	2,489 mm	3	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
8 × 4.8 in (203 × 122 mm)	2.8 mm	3,318 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
12 × 7.2 in (305 × 183 mm)	4.3 mm	4,977 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The smallest mark is the finest detail in the pattern. Below about half a millimetre it is too small to cut and may fill in when printed. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
