How fine is it at your size?

Scaling a design scales its finest detail too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Smallest mark	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.85 in (25 × 22 mm)	0.43 mm	351 mm	110	Too fine for most machines
2 × 1.7 in (51 × 43 mm)	0.86 mm	702 mm	30	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3 × 2.55 in (76 × 65 mm)	1.3 mm	1,053 mm	12	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 3.4 in (102 × 86 mm)	1.7 mm	1,404 mm	6	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 5.11 in (152 × 130 mm)	2.6 mm	2,106 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
8 × 6.81 in (203 × 173 mm)	3.5 mm	2,808 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 10.21 in (305 × 259 mm)	5.2 mm	4,212 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The smallest mark is the finest detail in the pattern. Below about half a millimetre it is too small to cut and may fill in when printed. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
