Will it cut at your size?

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.72 in (25 × 18 mm)	0.41 mm	255 mm	130	Too fine for most machines
2 × 1.44 in (51 × 37 mm)	0.81 mm	511 mm	35	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3 × 2.16 in (76 × 55 mm)	1.2 mm	766 mm	15	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 2.88 in (102 × 73 mm)	1.6 mm	1,021 mm	6	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 4.32 in (152 × 110 mm)	2.4 mm	1,532 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
8 × 5.76 in (203 × 146 mm)	3.3 mm	2,042 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 8.64 in (305 × 219 mm)	4.9 mm	3,063 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
