Will it cut at your size?

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.99 in (25 × 25 mm)	0.43 mm	223 mm	100	Too fine for most machines
2 × 1.98 in (51 × 50 mm)	0.86 mm	446 mm	25	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3 × 2.97 in (76 × 75 mm)	1.3 mm	669 mm	9	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 3.96 in (102 × 100 mm)	1.7 mm	892 mm	4	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 5.93 in (152 × 151 mm)	2.6 mm	1,338 mm	1	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
8 × 7.91 in (203 × 201 mm)	3.5 mm	1,784 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 11.87 in (305 × 301 mm)	5.2 mm	2,676 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
