A library card with rounded corners: a small open book cut from one end, a clear band between two lines for a name and a row of bars along the foot. No lettering, so it suits any library.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.62 in (25 × 16 mm) | Over 1.5 mm | 268 mm | 140 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 2 × 1.24 in (51 × 31 mm) | Over 3 mm | 536 mm | 40 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 3 × 1.86 in (76 × 47 mm) | Over 4.6 mm | 805 mm | 15 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 4 × 2.48 in (102 × 63 mm) | Over 6.1 mm | 1,073 mm | 8 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 6 × 3.72 in (152 × 94 mm) | Over 9.1 mm | 1,609 mm | 3 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 8 × 4.96 in (203 × 126 mm) | Over 12 mm | 2,146 mm | 2 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 12 × 7.44 in (305 × 189 mm) | Over 18 mm | 3,219 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
