Will it cut at your size?

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
0.91 × 1 in (23 × 25 mm)	0.2 mm	472 mm	110	Too fine for most machines
1.81 × 2 in (46 × 51 mm)	0.41 mm	944 mm	30	Too fine for most machines
2.72 × 3 in (69 × 76 mm)	0.61 mm	1,417 mm	12	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3.63 × 4 in (92 × 102 mm)	0.81 mm	1,889 mm	6	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
5.44 × 6 in (138 × 152 mm)	1.2 mm	2,833 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
7.26 × 8 in (184 × 203 mm)	1.6 mm	3,777 mm	1	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
10.88 × 12 in (276 × 305 mm)	2.4 mm	5,666 mm	1	Vinyl, card and thin sheet

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck or wall beside a cut-out; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
