Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.46 in (25 × 12 mm)	0.64 mm	118 mm	180	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 0.93 in (51 × 24 mm)	1.3 mm	236 mm	50	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 1.39 in (76 × 35 mm)	1.9 mm	354 mm	21	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 1.85 in (102 × 47 mm)	2.5 mm	471 mm	10	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 2.78 in (152 × 71 mm)	3.8 mm	707 mm	4	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 3.7 in (203 × 94 mm)	5.1 mm	943 mm	3	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 5.56 in (305 × 141 mm)	7.6 mm	1,414 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
