A Thrill of Hope in Amatic SC SVG
“A Thrill of Hope the Weary World Rejoices” set in Amatic SC, narrow hand-drawn capitals, on 3 centred lines. Tall, thin and slightly uneven, like lettering on a chalkboard; the strokes are thickened so they cut.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.7 in (25 × 18 mm) | 0.18 mm | 486 mm | 130 | Too fine for most machines |
| 2 × 1.39 in (51 × 35 mm) | 0.36 mm | 971 mm | 35 | Too fine for most machines |
| 3 × 2.09 in (76 × 53 mm) | 0.53 mm | 1,457 mm | 15 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 4 × 2.79 in (102 × 71 mm) | 0.71 mm | 1,943 mm | 8 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 6 × 4.18 in (152 × 106 mm) | 1.1 mm | 2,914 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 8 × 5.58 in (203 × 142 mm) | 1.4 mm | 3,885 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 12 × 8.36 in (305 × 212 mm) | 2.1 mm | 5,828 mm | 1 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
