“Welcome to Our Pool” set in Amatic SC, narrow hand-drawn capitals, on 2 centred lines. Tall, thin and slightly uneven, like lettering on a chalkboard; the strokes are thickened so they cut.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.63 in (25 × 16 mm) | 0.33 mm | 367 mm | 140 | Too fine for most machines |
| 2 × 1.25 in (51 × 32 mm) | 0.66 mm | 734 mm | 40 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 3 × 1.88 in (76 × 48 mm) | 0.99 mm | 1,101 mm | 15 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 4 × 2.5 in (102 × 64 mm) | 1.3 mm | 1,468 mm | 8 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 6 × 3.76 in (152 × 95 mm) | 2 mm | 2,202 mm | 3 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 8 × 5.01 in (203 × 127 mm) | 2.6 mm | 2,936 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 12 × 7.51 in (305 × 191 mm) | 4 mm | 4,404 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
