Three flags on a sagging string: a flower, a sun and a heart, each cut out of a plain sheet with three small holes above it and its own lower edge. The string joins them, so the banner cuts as one piece.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.44 in (25 × 11 mm) | 0.3 mm | 207 mm | 190 | Too fine for most machines |
| 2 × 0.88 in (51 × 22 mm) | 0.61 mm | 415 mm | 55 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 3 × 1.32 in (76 × 34 mm) | 0.91 mm | 622 mm | 24 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 4 × 1.76 in (102 × 45 mm) | 1.2 mm | 829 mm | 12 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 6 × 2.64 in (152 × 67 mm) | 1.8 mm | 1,244 mm | 4 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 8 × 3.52 in (203 × 89 mm) | 2.4 mm | 1,658 mm | 3 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 12 × 5.28 in (305 × 134 mm) | 3.7 mm | 2,487 mm | 2 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
