Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.56 in (25 × 14 mm) | Over 1.5 mm | 295 mm | 160 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 2 × 1.12 in (51 × 28 mm) | Over 3 mm | 589 mm | 45 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 3 × 1.68 in (76 × 43 mm) | Over 4.6 mm | 884 mm | 18 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 4 × 2.24 in (102 × 57 mm) | Over 6.1 mm | 1,179 mm | 10 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 6 × 3.36 in (152 × 85 mm) | Over 9.1 mm | 1,768 mm | 3 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 8 × 4.48 in (203 × 114 mm) | Over 12 mm | 2,357 mm | 2 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 12 × 6.72 in (305 × 171 mm) | Over 18 mm | 3,536 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
