How fine is it at your size?

Scaling a design scales its finest detail too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Thinnest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 1 in (25 × 25 mm)	0.71 mm	562 mm	100	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 2 in (51 × 51 mm)	1.4 mm	1,123 mm	25	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 3 in (76 × 76 mm)	2.1 mm	1,685 mm	9	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 4 in (102 × 102 mm)	2.8 mm	2,246 mm	4	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 6 in (152 × 152 mm)	4.3 mm	3,370 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 8 in (203 × 203 mm)	5.7 mm	4,493 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 12 in (305 × 305 mm)	8.5 mm	6,739 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The thinnest part is the finest detail in the pattern. Below about half a millimetre it is too small to cut and may fill in when printed. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
