Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.23 in (25 × 6 mm)	0.76 mm	132 mm	280	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 0.45 in (51 × 12 mm)	1.5 mm	263 mm	90	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 0.68 in (76 × 17 mm)	2.3 mm	395 mm	39	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 0.91 in (102 × 23 mm)	3 mm	526 mm	22	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
6 × 1.36 in (152 × 35 mm)	4.6 mm	789 mm	7	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 1.82 in (203 × 46 mm)	6.1 mm	1,053 mm	6	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 2.72 in (305 × 69 mm)	9.1 mm	1,579 mm	4	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
