Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.33 in (25 × 8 mm)	0.64 mm	153 mm	230	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 0.66 in (51 × 17 mm)	1.3 mm	306 mm	70	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 0.98 in (76 × 25 mm)	1.9 mm	459 mm	30	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 1.31 in (102 × 33 mm)	2.5 mm	612 mm	16	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 1.97 in (152 × 50 mm)	3.8 mm	917 mm	5	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 2.62 in (203 × 67 mm)	5.1 mm	1,223 mm	4	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 3.94 in (305 × 100 mm)	7.6 mm	1,835 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
