Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.74 in (25 × 19 mm)	0.64 mm	183 mm	120	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 1.49 in (51 × 38 mm)	1.3 mm	366 mm	35	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 2.23 in (76 × 57 mm)	1.9 mm	549 mm	15	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 2.98 in (102 × 76 mm)	2.5 mm	732 mm	6	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 4.46 in (152 × 113 mm)	3.8 mm	1,097 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 5.95 in (203 × 151 mm)	5.1 mm	1,463 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 8.93 in (305 × 227 mm)	7.6 mm	2,195 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
