Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.25 in (25 × 6 mm)	0.71 mm	133 mm	270	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 0.49 in (51 × 13 mm)	1.4 mm	267 mm	85	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 0.74 in (76 × 19 mm)	2.1 mm	400 mm	36	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 0.99 in (102 × 25 mm)	2.8 mm	533 mm	20	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 1.48 in (152 × 38 mm)	4.3 mm	800 mm	7	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 1.98 in (203 × 50 mm)	5.7 mm	1,067 mm	5	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 2.96 in (305 × 75 mm)	8.5 mm	1,600 mm	3	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
