Twelve square plates for the two date cubes of a block calendar, a numeral cut through each: 0 to 5 for the first cube, and 0, 1, 2, 6, 7 and 8 for the second. Turned over, the 6 is the 9, so the pair shows every date from 01 to 31. Cut 150 mm tall, each plate is 32 mm square.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.7 × 1 in (18 × 25 mm) | 0.36 mm | 432 mm | 130 | Too fine for most machines |
| 1.39 × 2 in (35 × 51 mm) | 0.71 mm | 865 mm | 35 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 2.09 × 3 in (53 × 76 mm) | 1.1 mm | 1,297 mm | 15 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 2.78 × 4 in (71 × 102 mm) | 1.4 mm | 1,729 mm | 8 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 4.17 × 6 in (106 × 152 mm) | 2.1 mm | 2,594 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 5.56 × 8 in (141 × 203 mm) | 2.8 mm | 3,458 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 8.34 × 12 in (212 × 305 mm) | 4.3 mm | 5,188 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
