Simple butterfly with teardrop wings SVG

Simple butterfly with teardrop wings, as a solid black shape — Simple butterfly with teardrop wings. The preview is the SVG file itself.

Three teardrops in each forewing and two in each hindwing, and nothing finer. Thick everywhere, so it works small and in thick material.

Will it cut at your size?

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.82 in (25 × 21 mm)	0.46 mm	273 mm	110	Too fine for most machines
2 × 1.64 in (51 × 42 mm)	0.91 mm	547 mm	30	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3 × 2.47 in (76 × 63 mm)	1.4 mm	820 mm	12	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 3.29 in (102 × 84 mm)	1.8 mm	1,093 mm	6	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 4.93 in (152 × 125 mm)	2.7 mm	1,640 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
8 × 6.58 in (203 × 167 mm)	3.7 mm	2,186 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 9.86 in (305 × 251 mm)	5.5 mm	3,280 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
