Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.77 in (25 × 19 mm) | 1.1 mm | 465 mm | 120 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 2 × 1.53 in (51 × 39 mm) | 2.3 mm | 930 mm | 35 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 3 × 2.3 in (76 × 58 mm) | 3.4 mm | 1,394 mm | 12 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 4 × 3.06 in (102 × 78 mm) | 4.6 mm | 1,859 mm | 6 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 6 × 4.59 in (152 × 117 mm) | 6.9 mm | 2,789 mm | 2 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 8 × 6.12 in (203 × 155 mm) | 9.1 mm | 3,719 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 12 × 9.18 in (305 × 233 mm) | 14 mm | 5,578 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
