Layered birthday card with a greeting band SVG
Two colours: a square side-fold card with five stars cut along the foot of the front, and a band to glue across the front with HAPPY BIRTHDAY cut through it in bridged capitals, so the card shows through the letters. The card folds to 140 mm square when cut 280 mm wide.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.5 in (25 × 13 mm) | 0.64 mm | 236 mm | 170 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 2 × 1 in (51 × 25 mm) | 1.3 mm | 472 mm | 50 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 3 × 1.5 in (76 × 38 mm) | 1.9 mm | 709 mm | 21 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 4 × 2 in (102 × 51 mm) | 2.5 mm | 945 mm | 10 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 6 × 3 in (152 × 76 mm) | 3.8 mm | 1,417 mm | 3 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 8 × 4 in (203 × 102 mm) | 5.1 mm | 1,890 mm | 2 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
| 12 × 6 in (305 × 152 mm) | 7.6 mm | 2,835 mm | 1 | Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
