Teachers and Apples in Amatic SC SVG
“Because Teachers Can’t Live on Apples Alone” set in Amatic SC, narrow hand-drawn capitals, on 3 centred lines. Tall, thin and slightly uneven, like lettering on a chalkboard; the strokes are thickened so they cut.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.66 in (25 × 17 mm) | 0.18 mm | 491 mm | 140 | Too fine for most machines |
| 2 × 1.32 in (51 × 34 mm) | 0.36 mm | 983 mm | 40 | Too fine for most machines |
| 3 × 1.98 in (76 × 50 mm) | 0.53 mm | 1,474 mm | 15 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 4 × 2.64 in (102 × 67 mm) | 0.71 mm | 1,966 mm | 8 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 6 × 3.96 in (152 × 101 mm) | 1.1 mm | 2,949 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 8 × 5.28 in (203 × 134 mm) | 1.4 mm | 3,932 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 12 × 7.92 in (305 × 201 mm) | 2.1 mm | 5,898 mm | 1 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
