Will it cut at your size?

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.27 in (25 × 7 mm)	0.15 mm	196 mm	260	Too fine for most machines
2 × 0.53 in (51 × 14 mm)	0.3 mm	393 mm	80	Too fine for most machines
3 × 0.8 in (76 × 20 mm)	0.46 mm	589 mm	36	Too fine for most machines
4 × 1.07 in (102 × 27 mm)	0.61 mm	785 mm	18	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
6 × 1.6 in (152 × 41 mm)	0.91 mm	1,178 mm	6	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
8 × 2.14 in (203 × 54 mm)	1.2 mm	1,571 mm	5	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
12 × 3.2 in (305 × 81 mm)	1.8 mm	2,356 mm	3	Vinyl, card and thin sheet

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
