Will it cut at your size?

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
0.97 × 1 in (25 × 25 mm)	0.33 mm	407 mm	100	Too fine for most machines
1.95 × 2 in (49 × 51 mm)	0.66 mm	814 mm	25	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2.92 × 3 in (74 × 76 mm)	0.99 mm	1,221 mm	9	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3.89 × 4 in (99 × 102 mm)	1.3 mm	1,629 mm	4	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
5.84 × 6 in (148 × 152 mm)	2 mm	2,443 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
7.78 × 8 in (198 × 203 mm)	2.6 mm	3,257 mm	1	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
11.68 × 12 in (297 × 305 mm)	4 mm	4,886 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
