“Blessed by God Spoiled by My Husband” set in Amatic SC, narrow hand-drawn capitals, on 3 centred lines. Tall, thin and slightly uneven, like lettering on a chalkboard; the strokes are thickened so they cut.

Will it cut at your size?
Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.
| Size, width × height | Narrowest part | Cut length | Fit on a 12 in sheet | Rule of thumb |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.78 in (25 × 20 mm) | 0.2 mm | 513 mm | 120 | Too fine for most machines |
| 2 × 1.57 in (51 × 40 mm) | 0.41 mm | 1,027 mm | 30 | Too fine for most machines |
| 3 × 2.35 in (76 × 60 mm) | 0.61 mm | 1,540 mm | 12 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 4 × 3.14 in (102 × 80 mm) | 0.81 mm | 2,053 mm | 6 | Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care |
| 6 × 4.7 in (152 × 119 mm) | 1.2 mm | 3,080 mm | 2 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 8 × 6.27 in (203 × 159 mm) | 1.6 mm | 4,107 mm | 1 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
| 12 × 9.41 in (305 × 239 mm) | 2.4 mm | 6,160 mm | 1 | Vinyl, card and thin sheet |
The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
