Will it cut at your size?

Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.73 in (25 × 19 mm)	0.33 mm	246 mm	130	Too fine for most machines
2 × 1.47 in (51 × 37 mm)	0.66 mm	493 mm	35	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
3 × 2.2 in (76 × 56 mm)	0.99 mm	739 mm	15	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
4 × 2.93 in (102 × 74 mm)	1.3 mm	986 mm	6	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 4.4 in (152 × 112 mm)	2 mm	1,478 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
8 × 5.86 in (203 × 149 mm)	2.6 mm	1,971 mm	2	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
12 × 8.8 in (305 × 223 mm)	4 mm	2,957 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
