Scaling a design scales its thinnest part too. Here is this one at seven sizes, from 1 to 12 inches on its longer side, with how many copies fit a 12 × 12 inch sheet or mat.

Size, width × height	Narrowest part	Cut length	Fit on a 12 in sheet	Rule of thumb
1 × 0.55 in (25 × 14 mm)	0.74 mm	217 mm	160	Fine detail: vinyl and paper only, weed with care
2 × 1.1 in (51 × 28 mm)	1.5 mm	434 mm	45	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
3 × 1.65 in (76 × 42 mm)	2.2 mm	652 mm	18	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
4 × 2.2 in (102 × 56 mm)	2.9 mm	869 mm	10	Vinyl, card and thin sheet
6 × 3.31 in (152 × 84 mm)	4.4 mm	1,303 mm	3	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
8 × 4.41 in (203 × 112 mm)	5.9 mm	1,737 mm	2	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic
12 × 6.61 in (305 × 168 mm)	8.8 mm	2,606 mm	1	Any material, including 3 mm wood and acrylic

The narrowest part is the thinnest neck that holds the design together; sharp tips are not counted. For wood and acrylic, keep it at least as wide as the sheet is thick. How to open the file in Cricut, Silhouette and laser software.
