Mountain lake shadow box
A layered shadow box in 6 sheets, each 254 × 203.2 mm. From https://www.plotcaster.com/shadow-box/mountain-lake/

Sheets, back to front:
  1. Sun (the back)
  2. Far range
  3. Near range
  4. Far shore
  5. Near bank
  6. Reeds (the front)

What you need
6 sheets of card, 160 to 220 gsm. White for a box lit from behind; colours, dark at the front, for one that is not.
A frame at least 20 mm deep inside, with an opening of 254 × 203.2 mm.
Foam tape or strips of foam board 3 to 5 mm thick, and glue.
For a light box: a strip of warm white LEDs to go round the inside, behind the back sheet or between the sheets.

Steps
  1. Cut every sheet at the size in the file. Do not resize one sheet without the others.
  2. Lay them out in order. Sheet 1 is the back.
  3. Put foam strips on the border of sheet 1, all the way round, and press sheet 2 onto them with the edges lined up. Carry on to sheet 6.
  4. Put the stack in the frame, front sheet against the glass.
  5. For a light box, run the LEDs round the inside of the frame behind the stack before closing the back.

Free for personal and commercial use: sell what you make with it, but not the files themselves.
